Councillor Mary Fragedakis (Ward 29 Toronto-Danforth) will be joined by the Honourable Laurel Broten, the Ontario Minister Responsible for Women's Issues, at a City of Toronto business event inspired by International Women's Day.

Date: Monday, March 11
Time: 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (remarks at 8:30 a.m.)
Location: MaRS Discovery District, 101 College St.

This event celebrates the accomplishments of local women entrepreneurs while addressing key business challenges faced by this segment of the business community.

A keynote speech by MaRS Discovery District CEO Dr. Ilse Treurnicht will be followed by a panel discussion led by Enterprise Toronto. The panel of entrepreneurs includes Leila Boujnane (Idee Inc.), Marty Britton (Britton Management Profiles), Pearl Chen (Karma Laboratory) and Heather Payne (Ladies Learning Code).

This event is hosted by the City of Toronto's Enterprise Toronto and MaRS Discovery District with support from the Company of Women, the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Employment, and the Ministry of Research and Innovation.
