Toronto’s official newsletter highlights G20 Summit

The fifth issue of Toronto’s official city-wide newsletter, Our Toronto, will be released shortly. The summer issue of Our Toronto features information about City services and programs. There is important information for residents on transportation planning for the coming G20 Summit. To better prepare residents for the Summit, the City has set up a central web page of resources at http://www.toronto.ca/G20. Residents can expect their copies of Our Toronto to begin arriving in their mailbox next week.

There are many other articles in this issue, including information about: the City’s budget, summer road repairs, the City's new Sign Bylaw and Third-Party Sign Tax, the winners of the Green Toronto Awards, services for seniors, City parks and Zoo activities, farmers markets and Environment Days.

The cover story is about the benefits to Toronto as a result of being chosen to host this year's G20 Summit, and the opportunities the Summit will give Toronto to showcase our city to the world.

Our Toronto replaces three former city-wide publications. It is distributed to every household in the city through Canada Post, and will be available on the City’s website (toronto.ca/ourtoronto) and at libraries and major community centres throughout the city. Our Toronto will also be available in HTML, accessible PDF and audio formats. Braille and large print will be available upon request. It will also be available in 11 languages on the City’s website or as a hard copy by request.

Our Toronto is an environmentally-friendly publication. It is printed on 100 per cent recycled paper using vegetable inks, and the printer conforms to the standards of the Forest Stewardship Council.
