Thursday, August 29 is EMS Day at the Canadian National Exhibition. Paramedics and emergency medical dispatchers from Toronto will demonstrate first aid - including cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an automatic external defibrillator. Emergency medical vehicles will be on display and available for tours.

In addition to learning CPR, exhibition visitors can drop by any time between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. for an overall wellness assessment including blood pressure checks from Toronto EMS community paramedics. The display is located on the path between the Queen Elizabeth Building on the east side and BMO Field on the west side.

Paramedics and senior Toronto EMS staff will march in a parade marking EMS Day at the CNE starting at the Princes’ Gates at 6 p.m. and ending at the Ricoh Coliseum.

For the remainder of the fair, CNE guests can visit EMS station 35, located on the grounds at 265 Manitoba Dr., to meet the paramedics and learn about what they do.
