City to host RBC International Tournament and Cricket Festival
Representatives from the City of Toronto, the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) Cultural Markets and the Ontario Cricket Association will host the RBC International Tournament and Cricket Festival. The event will include coaching by Canadian National Team players, a “Try Cricket” area, South Asian food vendors, raffle prizes and kids' entertainment.
Date: Saturday, June 5 Time: 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Location: L’Amoreaux Park, 2000 McNicoll Ave. (McNicoll Ave. and Kennedy Rd.)
The RBC International Tournament and Cricket Festival is part of the overall Sharing Sports initiative of the City of Toronto’s Parks, Forestry and Recreation division. The aim of Sharing Sports is to increase access to sports and recreation for youth from diverse communities throughout the city. These innovative, creative and alternative types of programming have been developed to reflect interests of the youth of various backgrounds.
