City of Toronto's annual Small Business Forum tomorrow
Councillor Michael Thompson (Ward 37 Scarborough Centre), Chair of Toronto's Economic Development Committee, will officially launch the City of Toronto's 12th annual Small Business Forum tomorrow morning.
The forum will be held on the seventh floor of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, South Building, 255 Front St. W., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16.
This free, all-day event celebrates Toronto's small business community and provides attendees with opportunities to network and learn from some of Canada's most successful entrepreneurs.
After Councillor Thompson officially launches the event at 9 a.m., Dani Reiss, President and CEO of Canada Goose, will present the keynote speech. Reiss will share his personal journey and describe how he built up his Toronto-based family business from 40 people to a company of about 1,000 employees.
During the day, the forum will offer attendees 16 free seminars, a trade show with 85 exhibitors, facilitated networking, a financing panel and opportunities to try out new social media tools for business.
The Small Business Forum is the signature event of Enterprise Toronto. The public can still register for this event in person or online. More information is available at http://enterprisetoronto.com/. |
