NDP Leaders |
Dear Friend,
It’s a great time to be a New Democrat.
Yesterday, I met with my provincial counterparts to reflect on our successes and plan our next steps – together. And I'm happy to tell you that as we reach the halfway mark on the road to the next federal election, New Democrats are stronger and more united than ever.
Premiers Greg Selinger and Darrell Dexter are leading strong NDP governments in Manitoba and Nova Scotia. And with surging support in British Columbia and Ontario, Adrian Dix and Andrea Horwath are poised for breakthroughs.
Together, we shared our experiences – and the strategies that got us to where we are. And we focussed on three priorities that matter to all of us: a job-creating economy, sustainable development and cooperative federalism.
These three priorities stand in stark contrast to the Conservative record – their failure to create jobs, their attack on the environment and their reckless cuts to public services.
Canadians deserve better.
New Democrats know how much we can accomplish when we work together. From coast to coast to coast. And from the membership on the ground through to the leaders’ offices. We’re already on the road to building a fairer, greener, more prosperous Canada – for today and for generations to come.
By pulling together now, we’ll be ready to take on Stephen Harper in 2015 – and win.
Thank you for being a part of it,
Tom Mulcair
