After 18 months of construction, the project is on budget and the work was completed on October 11.
"Mount Pleasant Avenue is a critical piece of our road system. We'd like to thank the public for their patience while we made this important investment in our transportation infrastructure," said Councillor Denzil Minnan-Wong (Ward 34 Don Valley East), Chair of the City's Public Works and Infrastructure.
There will be short-term closures during the next two weeks for some minor cleanup work. This work will be completed by October 31.
The contract price was $5.2 million (excluding HST), but the actual cost for the project came in at approximately $5.0 million. |
